Privacy

What we collect

• Your account: name, email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a secure one-way hash — nobody at Appeal Uniforms can read them.
• Your M-Pesa number, if you save it or pay with it, so checkout can be pre-filled.
• Purchases: what you bought, the amount, and either the M-Pesa number that paid and the M-Pesa receipt, or the Paystack reference for a card payment. We never see or store your card number — you enter it on Paystack's page.
• Custom design requests: your name, phone number, optional email, your description and any reference files you upload.

You can browse the shop and fill a cart without an account. An account is needed to pay for an order, buy designs or request a custom one. For delivered orders we also keep the delivery address, contact number and any notes you give at checkout, to deliver your order.

Why we use it

• To process payments, deliver the items you order, and give you access to the designs you've bought.
• To quote for, make and deliver custom designs, and to contact you about them.
• To email you about your orders: confirmations, quotes, and files being ready.
• To let you reset a forgotten password (reset links expire after one hour).

We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser stores three things locally: your login, so you stay signed in; your cart, until you check out; and the products you've looked at recently, for the “Recently viewed” row on the home page. None of it is sent to us until you check out.

Who processes it for us

• Safaricom, for M-Pesa payments.
• Paystack, for card payments (they receive your email address and the card details you enter).
• Supabase, which hosts our database and uploaded files.
• Resend, which delivers our emails.
• Our website and server hosting providers.
• WhatsApp (Meta), when you choose to message us there.

Your rights

Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, and object to how it's used. You can update your name and M-Pesa number yourself in My Account; for anything else, contact us below. If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
